Nablus -

Since 00:05 Sunday, the Israeli Army has been positioned in the city and the Balata refugee camp with enemy aircraft constantly menacing the skies. A curfew continues to be imposed on the refugee camp, preventing schools from functioning for a second day. The Israeli incursions provoked confrontations with residents, during which enemy troops killed two people, including a boy, Ibrahim Ahmed ash Sheikh Ali, who was aged 16. Violently asserting their presence, the Israelis went on to wound 24 Palestinians, 13 of whom are children. The Israelis prevented ambulance access for the wounded and took eight people prisoner, including one of the wounded. Additionally, Occupation troops invaded a number of houses in the city and the refugee camp, converting them into military posts. The Israelis also occupied a school for use as a military base. One of a group of armed resistance fighters was killed by Israeli troops as they penetrated the Old City of Nablus. Both areas were still in the grip of the Israelis as at 08:00 today.
